Change Signal Strength Bars To Numbers

This is a good tip for people that would rather have a detail number of their signal strength instead of some bars. Here’s how:

Hold Alt(half moon) + NMLL

DOES NOT WORK ON 7100!

One the 7100-, press the “BN” key twice to register the “N”, then follow the M, L and L…

What is the highest signal strength in numbers? 100?

the number should be dBm so the lower the number the better the signal strength.

Doesn’t work on the Curve 8330 either. Just makes the bars disappear and replaces it with nothing.

THIS DOES WORK ON THE 8330, THE NUMBERS ARE JUST OBSCURED AS THEY APPEAR IN BLACK. JUST TAKE A PICTURE OF A WHITE PIECE OF PAPER AND THEN SET THAT AS YOUR SCREENSAVER AND THIS LIGHTENS THE SCREEN UP ENOUGH TO SEE THE NUMBERS.
