Business Week posted a QA session with Circuit City’s CIO Michael Jones. The jist of the article is about how Circuit City can fix things up internally to better compete with Best Buy. I found this interesting though:
Someday, if a customer makes a big transaction, we could have our CEO W. Alan McCollough’s BlackBerry go off. The customer would get a phone call from McCollough or another top-level executive, who would thank the customer for his purchase and ask how the experience was.
First of all, everyone at BBCool would never be caught shopping at Circuit City. Here’s my suggestion, why not have a big-wig contact you before your purchase so you can try to get a better deal.
