I want to delete this program on my Blackberry but when I go into Applications I can not find it, why?!?!

Jennifer, don’t panic you’re Blackberry is not broke. What most likely happened was that you had installed this program Over-The-Air” and then upgraded to OS 4.0. This is a bug when upgrading to 4.0, it will not list any applications that were installed OTA. Don’t fret though, you still can not delete the program. Go to Options –> Applications –> Wheel-Click and Modules, this will bring up a list of modules, which can be considered like files for your Blackberry. Most programs usually consist of 2-4 modules, so delete all of them and restart and your Blackberry and that old pesky program should now be gone. Be warned though, make sure to delete only the program modules and not any system modules, that would be really bad.

    I have a Pearl 8100 with OS 4.2.0.71 and cannot remove third party programs. I do not have this exact sequence from your article ( http://www.blackberrycool.com/2005/02/03/00124/) available. I know that was in 2005 but I cannot find any other info on the Internet.

    “…Go to Options –> Applications –> Wheel-Click and Modules…”

    On my Pearl I have this sequence available: “Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> *MENU* -> Modules”

    and then I can see a list of “modules” for the software I’ve added. But no “delete” is available (that *I* can find) via menu button or anything else. Granted, like at the grocery store, I can be right in front of something and not see it :-)

    I can view “properties” and “permissions” but not delete or remove the module or program.

    I downloaded a trial of Mobylo SureWipe but the demo will only remove other Mobylo programs unless I pay the $15 price to register. I think it is absurd to have to pay to remove software from my BB.

    Please help!

    Ok, I had the same problem as you and figured it out… Go to Options >> Advanced Options >> Applications… from there you will see a list of applications that you have installed. Highlight the application you want to remove and press the menu button. In the menu you will see, among others, an option to delete. You will have to restart your BB to actually delete the files…

    Just got a refurbished 7100t. I downloaded Browser Push weather and hate it! I tried the method above- but could not find Brower Push in my modules. HELP!!!! I also downloaded Avant Go and it isn’t synchronizing either!

    Hi, just got a BB curve 8320 wanted to know once you delete an application does it uninstall it or is there another way to do it.
