Samsung Edges Out RIM Blackberry

3GSM Awards3GSM World is going on right now at Cannes, France, with over 600 companies showcasing and 30,000 visitors passing through the exhibition it is one of the biggest shows in the mobile industry. 3GSM gives out awards every year and RIM’s Blackberry 7100 device was up for the ‘Best Mobile Handset’ award. Even with RIM’s popularity these days it could not beat out the Samsung SGH-D500. Blending elements for a powerful business device as well as a multimedia companion, the D500 incorporates all of Samsung’s leading technology into one package: a 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash; video recording with 60 minutes of storage; Bluetooth, email, and syncML connectivity; a speakerphone with enhanced voice clarity; an MP3 music player; 262K TFT screen; 64 polyphonic ring tones; and 96MB of internal user memory.
