Reuters is reporting that NTP and RIM confirmed a conference call regarding a settlement. The conference took place March 11 in front of United States Magistrate Judge Dennis Dohnal at the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Virginia. On the same day, NTP and Good Technology inked a patent license agreement which may have spurred these talks between the two companies. RIM and NTP have been battling over some of the same patents which NTP licensed in court since 2001.
