   note: this only works on the 72xx, 75xx and 77xx series. The 7100s you HAVE to remove the battery to reboot them.

   If you are using BlackBerryOS 4, you have to do alt+cap+del TWO TIMES … Once to do the brief reset, and when the buttons come back, hit the key sequence again for a full hard reboot.

   No data is lost though (all your data is stored in non-volatile flash)

   Hi, I tried this and it didn’t work for me. I still had to take the battery out. I have a 7520.

   Does anyone have any idea on how to reset a blackberry 7230. I have put the paperclip in the back etc. It still seems to have all email and bits and pieces on it. I am trying to sell it and want to delete all the data…..any ideas

   my blackberry is 7230 and my screen now show all the time Abort Exception and reset. I taking out the battery and putting it back in and hold Alt(half moon) + CAP + DEL to reboot but still the same can you help me please.

   Hi,

   my blackberry pearl keeps restarting over and over again. The hour glass symbol shows up to the screen but after it spins one time, the phone turns down again. Can someone help me, please!?

   How about tips on rebooting a blackberry Storm? When it freezes there is no keyboard showing so Alt+CAP+DEL is not an option.

   On newer Blackberries, the sequence is (the same): ALT-RIGHT SHIFT-DEL

   Just did it on my 8310.

    The key is using the the shift (cap) button on the right of the keypad. Worked on my Bold. Thanks Chris

    Bb 7100v vodafone shows abort exception reset every time i put the battery in, help

    BB 7100V vodafone starts by itself every time g put the battery in and then shows abort exception reset. Help is needed.pls.

    I reset my 7520 and the hour glass is still spinning and want load.
