Another Blackberry competitor announces their jump into the push-email world. JP Mobile(R), a provider of enterprise mobility software, today announced that Apptix® is now marketing to service providers a secure, reliable, easy to deploy and manage, hosted wireless e-mail solution powered by JP Mobile’s SureWave(R) Mobile Connect for Service Providers.
With the Apptix wireless services offering, service providers can offer their customers real-time wireless access to their Exchange servers. With their existing Symbian(R), Palm(R) or Windows(R) Mobile devices, users can access personal and corporate data anytime, anywhere. Corporate inbox, contacts, calendar, tasks and public folders are wirelessly pushed and synched to mobile professionals’ devices automatically. Moreover, they can send/receive, view and edit attachments, as well as file and delete email on the go.
“Wireless e-mail represents a tremendous opportunity for service providers to generate new revenue and add value to their customer relationships by helping those customers stay connected, anytime, anyplace,” said Frank Lord, senior vice president of sales for Apptix. “JP Mobile’s SureWave solution’s proven support for Exchange, coupled with its ability to provision devices over-the-air, is in direct line with Apptix’s commitment to help our service provider customers increase revenue and grow market share by offering high-demand, easy-to-manage wireless services.”
“Hosted e-mail currently accounts for nearly 70 percent of all e-mail accounts worldwide, which makes service providers ideally positioned to drive the adoption of wireless e-mail among enterprises,” said Dayakar Puskoor, JP Mobile founder and CEO. “We are extremely pleased to partner with Apptix in helping service providers enhance the value and increase the bottom line benefits of their hosted services by offering their customers secure, reliable wireless e-mail.”
JP Mobile’s SureWave Mobile Connect for Service Providers provides hosted e-mail providers with a secure, highly scalable, easy-to-deploy system for extending Microsoft Outlook(R) wireless e-mail and personal information management (PIM) data to SureWave-enabled mobile devices. SureWave further maximizes the service provider’s profit potential by featuring automated low-cost, over-the-air (OTA) provisioning of mobile devices.
