By default, Blackberry support push mail. i am satisfied with this feature and dont need outlook mail.

Until about a week ago I was able to accees my work e-mail through the MIcrosoft exchange webmail system. There must have been an upgrade in their system. Now all I can do is see that I have e-mail I can not read it or of course reply, since I can not open the messages. I do not have access to a OWA account. I can still read and reply through my desktop computer, but I would really like to be mobile. Is there some way I can adjust my Blackberry8310 to allow me access to read the microsoft exchange server? I just recently did an update to the 4.5 version of my Blackberry.

I'm not sure of your particular circumstances, but we had a user in our office buy a blackberry from a kiosk on teh weekend and the plan that they purchased was a consumer plan (from Rogers canada). The Consumer plan blocked all https requests, only http could be made. When we inquired with Rogers support they up-sold us to a package that removed the ssl block (described as a business package).

You should check with your provider to see if they are blocking https connections and pay the extra to remove the block. Otherwise your email traffic is openly exposed to others on the internet.

I am using Outlook web Access on my blackberry storm for work. Everything was working fine until today. I can receive emails on it but I can no longer send emails. Everytime I try to send when it tells me that the message cannot be sent due to an invalid address. What should I do?

I had a blackberry bold 9000 but company didnt give access for work email access . But company had the option of MS outlook web access.I just wanted to check and reply to urgent emails using BB. I was checking various websites and I found an easy way to access MS outlook webaccess. Download Opera Mini 5 beta 2 by visiting m.opera.com/mobile and then downloaded Opera Mini 5 beta 2 .You type the website address of the ms outlook webaccess and save it in speeddial option of opera.It is much easier to check and reply to mail than using normal explorer of BB.

I’m going to buy a Blackberry with BIS soon, can you answer me a few questions? Can you also synchronize Calendar or Contacts (contact pictures?) over OWA? Does it really only need access to an OWA (like http://owa.mycompany.net) Interface or does it also depend on smtp/imap/pop accounts. Is it nearly real time or does it take some time until the message reaches the berry. Thanks in advance!

Trying to access my work email using Outlook Web Access which of course uses the https:// I have tried using OperaMini which didn’t work either. I’m pretty sure that the issue is w/my company’s certificate not looking ‘secure’ I thought I could manually add the URL in the cert. server on my phone, but I’m not IT savvy and this didn’t work.

Does anyone know a ‘work around’ on how I can have my BB recognize/approve the site/certificate??? It works by bypassing errors on all other smartphones, laptops, etc. It’s the Blackberry that’s giving me trouble.
