SAP is following Microsoft Business Solutions’ lead by adopting a new naming convention for its CRM applications and wooing resellers to create vertical market add-ons to its base product. The offering, which is due to ship in the fourth quarter, will be based on the company’s NetWeaver middleware and include a new mySAP Analytics module. It will also incorporate an email response management capability to enable customers to improve the management of enquiries and promotions, and client applications supporting Blackberry devices.
