I am having issues with my internet on my bb curve 8330. I bought it off a friend when he upgraded and I activated it and the phone and text works but i have no icon or anyway to access the web.. im trying and need my email on there.. is there anyone who can help me?

I just bought a blackberry 8110 from a wowan, i put my sim card and it worked, it is locked to rogers. my browser works but many applications dont: windows live, facebook, google and blackberry maps. it all seem to connect… i just want an advice before contacting my carrier.
