HillCast Technologies, the leading developer of mobile financial applications, announced today a joint initiative with Comtex News Network, Inc. to co-promote the availability of real-time news on mobile devices. The agreement calls for Comtex, a leading wholesaler of real-time news and content for the world’s major financial and business information distributors, to co-promote the sale of MidCast PRO, HillCast’s high-end, award-winning application that delivers desktop-like trading tools to mobile devices, such as the BlackBerry, Palm Treo and the PocketPC.
Customers who sign a one-year service agreement for MidCast PRO will receive free Comtex News for a year. In addition, the first 100 customers that sign a one-year agreement from this promotion will receive a 13th month of MidCast PRO for free.
“MidCast PRO is an excellent tool for the serious trader,” said Chip Brian, the newly named President and COO of Comtex. “MidCast Pro is a fast, stable application that delivers timely market data to mobile devices. We have been a partner of HillCast for years and this announcement today is a natural evolution of that relationship.”
Gary D. Markin, who was recently named CEO of HillCast, said Comtex, “is a staple for traders and institutions that rely on the timely delivery of news and other market information. We’re proud of our relationship with Comtex and look forward to pursuing the current initiative.”
