    Dear BlackBerryCool.com,
Thank you for reviewing our application. We would like to address the issues that you have raised –

    1. OTA Install – We have provided Handango with OTA install files, we will follow up with Handango to make sure it is available to the customers.

    2. Left/Right Navigation – We apologize for this. As BlackBerry newbies we thought all BlackBerry users are familiar with using the ALT+Trackwheel feature to navigate left and right in any BlackBerry application. We will update our help files accordingly.

    3. Limitation of 5 symbols and no charting for symbols – Since we are getting licensed market data from the exchanges through DTN, we have a cost associated with every stock request we make. If we were to provide more symbols per request or do charting for every symbol, our costs would go up and we would not be able to offer the application at the $4.00-$5.00 per month rate that we do today. We are going to listen to feedback from our users over the next few months (we have a built-in feedback feature in the application for this very purpose), and based on the feedback we will try to address such issues – possibly by providing a premium priced version of the application that allows you to track more stocks simultaneously. Our goal for this application is to provide a reasonably priced yet useful stock market application that puts the user in touch with the stock market – for example, the scrolling ticker of the most active stocks (gainers and losers) in the major exchanges, market news and summary analysis.

    4. Invalid Symbol – Apologies for this bug, it seems to be a regression in our final build. A fix will be available by tonight.

If you can contact me, I will be happy to send the updated binaries directly to you.

Thanks again for your time and review. While we are an established provider of mobile games and applications for Java mobile handsets, the Stock Ticker is our first BlackBerry app and we are excited about the platform and look forward to providing more BlackBerry games and applications in the future.

    With best regards,

    [Update on above]

    Dear BlackBerryCool.com,

    - The “Invalid Symbol” issue turns out to only happen for a few symbols which are valid but not traded. So in general if you type a wrong symbol, such as AOL, you will get an appropriate error message. APPL turns out to be a valid symbol for which we do not get any last traded vaue from our provider. We are fixing this issue on our server, and will NOT require our users to upgrade or get a new client binary. This will just work fine from tomorrow.

    - Regarding using ALT+Trackwheel for left right navigation, our application’s built-in help screen actually does mention it right in the beginning, just a few lines above where it asks you to use left/right for navigating tabs. We still appreciate your point about it not being very obvious, and we will reword this more clearly in our next release.

    Thanks again for your feedback,
    With best regards,
    Arish Ali
