SMS Broadcast Reviewed

Comments

When we tested sending out SMS messages, we were hoping that it would be as quick as if you were sending on your phone but it is not. We’re not too familiar with the background workings of SMS but we do know other services that allow you to SMS through the web or email like Teleflip.com is sometimes slow and unreliable. So when it took over 5 hours to receive our first SMS message we weren’t surprised. This is in no way the fault of DiziLife, most likely something to do with the carriers network instead.

So bearing this in mind, the program is a great idea but we can’t completely recommend it because there is no guarantee that SMS messages are received in a timely manner or if at all. You are much better off sending text messages through the regular Blackberry compose window which is much more reliable. However, SMS Broadcast does come with a trial so you can test it before outright purchasing it.

The program is available for $5.99 at Neon Toad, http://www.neontoad.com

SMS Broadcast list is easy to set up and functions well on my BB 7230. I have had no problems sending to other BB users, as well as to Verizon and T-Mobile mobile users.
