Like we mention, the layout is very impressive but the navigation needs some work. On the main screen you can’t just scroll up and down, you will need to hold your ALT button to move horizontally even though there’s only 9 links to choose from on the main screen. Thus you’ll be forced to use two hands when you’re using the program.
Although the navigation is not ideal, you do get use to it and retrieving sport information is very easy. Scores can be retrieved in less than 2 clicks and getting other information like News, Schedule, Standings, and Stats is just as simple. One thing we were hoping for are a score breakdown and a box score. Sadly, we were disappointed, this would have been features that would have separated it from using a Blackberry browser to get latest scores.
As we play more with the program, we realize that all the information that SportSeeker offers can be easily retrieved by using the Blackberry browser. SportSeeker is a bit faster, prettier and easier to navigate but it is not free like the Blackberry browser. If you open up your browser and visit the Blackberry homepage and go to the Sports link you’ll see everything you need to follow your favorite sports team when your significant other forces you to miss the game.
SportSeeker is a subscription based program, costing $5 a month and can be purchased through Neon Toad, http://www.neontoad.com
