When we think of Blackberry, we think of full push and synchronize email. For many that’s fine, they only care for and want email on their Blackberry. For others though, they want to have full PIM (Personal Information Management) synchronization. Here’s how to enable wireless calendar synchronization with OS 4.0.
1. From the Home screen on your handheld, click the Calendar icon.
2. Click the trackwheel and select Options.
3. In the Calendar Options screen, scroll to the Wireless Synchronization field and click the trackwheel.
4. Select Change Option, then Yes.
5. Click the trackwheel and select Save. Wireless calendar synchronization is enabled.

Ummm… doesn’t this require BES to work? If you are using Desktop Redirector, this option won’t be present.
I agree, I thought this was a BES-only feature.
I am using BES and this option is NOT present. I use the 7130e from Verizon. Several employees here are trying to figure out how to sync their calendar. So far I have had to hook up to my machine and sync manually for the calendar part.
Same here. I have a user that is in the field and I walked him through changing his calendar sync wirelessly and he doesn’t have the wireless sync field. He is on BES 4.0 where it is supposed to be wireless. Any ideas other than manually syncing?
The easiest way I have found to get this feature to work (using BES) is to open the desktop manager/Intellisync/Configure PIM and change the calendar to use the blackberry wireless calendar (vs outlook). You might have to resync when done. The blackberry can now control any and all exchange calendar functions.
This is also dependant on the handheld version you have as well. We are running BES 4.0 and Handheld 4.0 and they all have this option.
Rim continues to ignore its non-BES customers. Still…no wireless calendar sync!
Well and on the bes server, nothing to do??
And with the Device manager located on the workstation, nothing to do too?
I have made you configuration and no synchro nayway !!!
I use exchange server and outlook client as mail solution.
Thanks this worked perfectly for me!
