This is incorrect, I deleted the Desktop [CMIME] component on the Blackberry Curve and with that, the option to send an email was no longer available. When I tried to compose an email I recived an error message that I was unable to use that feature.

I tried this but found that I had 2 diff service books. On the acct that still worked the service book is CICAL and on the one that just stop sending any mail it was the CMIME. What can I do to make it work again? When I tried sending mail from that one there would be a red X beside it instead of the check mark. Thanks.

If the user is in the Administrators group or other protected groups in Active Directory, there is an issue with a hotfix to exchange the deletes the beadmin send as permissions. Check out microsoft KB 907434 for the fix.

We saw this issue on a few units, and it turned out all we needed to do was to make sure we entered in the email address of the user under Enterprise Activation on the unit.

If deleting the CMIME entry “fixes” the problem but it comes back when sync’d at the users computer how do you fix this? (this is a user that had desktop redirector for quite some time then changed over to using BES and should be using BES now)
