I believe that offering better, cheaper alternatives (perhaps even freeware!) to office software (ie eOffice) on the blackberry would be a wonderful idea. Indeed, I use my blackberry to write essays and refine notes (I am a university student) during my crowded, 2 hour long bus commute when pulling out a laptop is simply not an option. I have been using the memo pad so far, and it offers only simple word processing, which is nothing compared to eOffice. However, eOffice costs upwards of $100, something I just can’t afford.

Also, offering themes for purchase might be a good idea, as the default blackberry look gets a bit dull after awhile.

A wider library of interesting games would also be very nice, as I like to take a break every so often with my blackberry.

Right now, anything other than Handango will work just fine. Try to do what is NOT Handango.BB users should be given a beta or trial version to evaluate.

NeonToad should make some aoftwares available for FREE DOWNLOAD if it reaches the necessary critical mass i.e. a certain volume of sales. That would encourage BB owners to support a product to its financial objectives. We understand you want and need to make some bucks. fair and square. But customer loyalty MUST come with rewards! May Neon Toad Be Better Than Handango (Wake Up Call!)

Cross platform useability would be a huge asset. An online store for mobile devices should be fully accessible from mobile devices. I should be able to search, browse, download and purchase directly on my desktop, BlackBerry, Palm, Windows Mobile, etc.

Tonight I downloaded(OTA)a Texas Hold’em game from a company called Magmic through a link on the Blackberry Cool WAP site. After the download I checked out the game, which had a 48 hour trial. I liked it so I chose “register” on the game interface and Iwas brought to a screen to enter credit card info. Once transmitted (OTA)it Automatically applied the unlock key and I was good to go. All in the span of a few minutes. Sweet! Make it easy!

Agree with the other comments about OTA downloads.

While I like the screenshots that Handango, I don’t care for the animated .gif – why can’t they just be separate pictures?

The Blackberry community lacks the wealth of software compared to the Palm and Pocket PC platforms. Besides the obvious support for all available software via OTA, there should be a portion of Neon Toad dedicated as a developers portal combing all available resources for Blackberry software and Blackberry specific web development. By providing a best in class portal for Blackberry development resources, they can help grow the market also. In essence they would become Blackberry software “farmers” by encouraging and stimulating the growth and then having a “road side stand” to sell them at also.
