Syncing Outlook with your Blackberry

Intellisync
This tip is mainly for non-BES users that use Intellisync to sync Outlook with their Blackberry. With Intellisync you have the ability to synchronize your Address Book, Calendar, Memopad, and Tasks. To make sure they are synchronized do the following:

1. Double-click Intellisync. Click Configure PIM.
2. Tick off which aspects you want to Sync.
3. Configure sync by hitting Choose.
4. Select BlackBerry Wireless Sync as the wireless calendar translator.
5. In the Intellisync window, click Synchronize Now.

    I have teh same problem as many owners of blackberry. I own a Pearl 8110 ,I cann not connect to Outlook 2003 . I have the latest BB desktop 4.7 , all settings as decribed in manual done , when I plug teh phone to the PC windows sees the phone, states it is donwloading software and then states there is problem and the software wont work. When I go to the BB desktop at click on option > conncetions options , I see that that the phone connect adnd then les than second later disconnects and so on and so on.

    Can any one help … I lik eteh phone , but with this BS I might as well have bought a Nokia where no issues in any way with links to PC and Outlook .

    Please help…I am trying to sync my Blackberry Curve 8330 with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and when I try to configure, MS Office Outlook is not appearing in the “available desktop applications” list. I am only getting “Yahoo” and “ASCII Importer/Exporter”. I am running Blackberry Desktop manager V4.5 on Windows XP Office Pro. I have synced my Blackberry successfully before with my older version of Outlook running on Windows XP Home Edition but can’t seem to do it on my new computer. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Blackberry Desktop Manager v5.0 does not (seem) to provide any way to synchronize mail with Outlook Express. Is there an upgrade/add-in/kludge that could help my cause?

    I can’t sync my 8900 to outlook 2007. This really sucks. Customer support for my $500.00 phone is $79.00 a pop. I have to get outlook to sync and get rid of thunderbird. Now I gave Bill Gates and Blackberry both my money and they don’t work. I have an EMail program that I can’t load my contacts into and a phone I can’t sync my Email with.

    hi bill. not sure if my solution will help you, but i encountered a glitch in my Outlook 2007 calendar entries after i updated my BB9700 OS 5.0. It seems that when the backup calendar was loading, it assumed that the entries were on PST default. when the synchronization noticed that my BB was on a GMT+8 time zone, it adjusted all the recurring dates +16hours. what i did was:
    1. i restored my calendar file (only my calendar) from the backup on my computer using Desktop Manager (you can do this using Advanced).
    2. configured synchronization for Device to overwrite Computer.
    3. did a sync
    4. after the sync, i checked if the recurring dates on my Outlook calendar were correct.
    5. i went back to Desktop manager, reconfigured Calendar to do two-way synchronization. (or back to whatever your setting was before doing this resolution)

    unfortunately, everything does not end well. i realized after i did the restore that all my Outlook categories were gone. i learned that BB does NOT have a field for Categories.

    Can anyone help me with this problem I am having syncing my blackberry with my outlook?
    All my calendar entries that are more than 2 months old are being deleted. Of course I want my 2 calendars to sync and some items override others, but I don't want all the history beyond a certain point to be deleted. What can I do?

    Everytime I try to synchronise it keeps saying my computer is not connected to the internet when it clearly is. Anyone else having this problem?
