Telecommunications operator Vodafone Tuesday said its branch Vodafone Sweden is introducing its BlackBerry connection services to three new mobile phones. Vodafone Sweden, which provides business customers with BlackBerry features such as e-mail, push-based connectivity and internet services, will enable BlackBerry services on the Nokia 9500 Communicator, Nokia 9300 Smartphone by Nokia and the Sony Ericsson P910i.
The Sony Ericsson P910i is built by the joint venture between Sony Corp. and Telefon AB LM Ericsson.
“Many Swedish companies have requested BlackBerry services on mobile phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson; therefore we are delighted to present this piece of news. This means that even more Swedes will discover the advantages of BlackBerry and see for themselves how wireless e-mail simplifies work life and makes it more efficient,” said Klas Wallstroem, head of Business Segment at Vodafone Sweden.
The ‘BlackBerry from Vodafone’ service is available at a flat monthly rate in which users can send and receive an unlimited number of e-mails via their BlackBerry-enabled mobile device.
Vodafone Sweden said it will also launch a new server solution for small businesses with their own e-mail servers. The product is called BlackBerry Enterprise Server Small/Medium Business Edition.
