Vodafone Group PLC Monday said its U.K. users will be able to resume access to data services when roaming in Europe from Monday evening, following a lengthy disruption. Users of Vodafone data services such as e-mail via Blackberry devices and Vodafone Live! information over third-generation, or 3G, networks experienced a disruption Sunday evening.
A spokesman for the U.K.-based mobile-phone company said the disruption was traced a third-party network provider and will be rectified by Monday evening. He said the technical issue hasn’t impacted voice or text services. A spokesman for Cable & Wireless Group PLC, which provides network connectivity for the mobile operator, said the issue has been resolved.
He said the interruption was as a result of a network fault which was traced to a router in Singapore.
He said the fault has been resolved.
