I will upgrade only if it is as fast as the 7250. I switched from the 7290 (Cingular) to the 7250 (Verizon) due to the annoying delays of most push operations (i.e. the lapse between selecting a contact and the informaton appearing on the screen). The 725O has been better in every way (speed, data and tel quality). Therefore, I will have to see what the 8700 can do -and just how powerful and as fast it is compared to the 7250- before I upgrade (and switch back to Cingular).

I would love to upgrade, but I'm not willing to spend a bunch of money, so I'll have to see what kind of a deal I can get. :-)

I have continously upgrade my Blackberry from the 7230 through my current 7290. In fact I had he 7100 but was very unhappy with the keyboard and so I passed it down to my wife as a phone only.

Without question I despised the Treo 650 issued by my company and after 6 months into the deployment project, IT Security mandated the 650 was out of compliance due to the camera. Never know who might be taking pictures of internal documents.

I will be upgrading on day 1! I must the support the technology platform I like so that there are funds for R&D and new products.

Our 7100t's have held up very nicely over the past year, and serve my company very well. I won't be upgrading our units until they make a model that can do wireless file sharing via Bluetooth.

While I'd like to go to the 8700, the likelihood is slim that I'll have the option to upgrade. (unless of course, my current one craps out and I can convince the insurance people to move me up)

I will not be upgrading to the 8700. Well, at least not immediately. I just got my 7520 and it is performing like a champ for me. I keep my entire life in the crackberry and it would be kind of hard to part with this model.

Besides, there's nothing like waiting for a sale or for the pricing point to come down before jumping on the bandwagon. Sure, I may be a generation behind the times, but when I buy mine, all potential bugs in the OS will have been figured out and patched for a trouble free experience.

I am a recent Blackberry 7100g convert from the great unwashed masses of mere cell phones. Since I have yet to figure out all of the features and capabilities of the 7100g it may be a while 'til I get to the 8700C.
