I am unable to import my old Pocket PC data. When I ge to the window where I am to chose between pocket pc and palm, neither option is active.Does anyone know anything about this problem?

Will this migration wizard work for a Palm m500 series with Palm OS v4.0?

I had this problem and was able to resolve it by downgrading the version of Palm Desktop I was using. The 700p came with 4.2.something, and I had to get 4.1.something from the palm website.

Once I did that, it worked perfectly.

I am having the same greyed out problem. How do I downgrade my palm software?

I have the same problem, and i am using v 4.2 palm o/s. Palm’s site warns not to go back to 4.1 if you have 700p or the software will not work. Any ideas?

Trying to decide whether to switch (which is being driven by nonexistent service from any carrier at my home. TMobile’s wifi service is attractive)

I have the problem that my palm 650 was stolen, now I have a Blackberry 8100 but the wizard request to have both equipments connected to the computer, so I can’t sync my contacts.

do I need to migrate my contacts to Outlook and them to the BB ? I don’t like Outlook, what other option I have ?

Downloaded Palm Desktop 4.1 and it solved my “gray out” problem.

I tried to download 4.1 (like David said) and my current 4.2 version will not go away. How do I override this?

I’m trying to get all of my Palm Desktop information onto a new Blackberry Curve – ASAP! Can anyone help?

It doesn’t look like i can install the 4.1 on my system as it is Vista and needs 6.2. Any other suggestions?

I keep getting an error message stating there is not enough memory. I bought a 4 GB microSD card for the BB, but this did not help. Any suggestions?

I just used Desktop Manager 4.6 to move all the information from a Zire72 to my BB. ACTUALLY the software never touches the Palm device but the Palm Desktop information. Also it is a good idea to have an updated version of the info in the hosting PC before to start this. A little bit of housekeeping like deleting/archiving completed tasks, old events and unnecessary notes or contacts will help. By the way, it is critical to have updated contact details in the Palm Desktop because they overwrite your BB details. You have the choice to avoid this during data transfer but no other record will be transferred so it is of little usefulness.

It has been an ordeal to transfer calendarfrom Treo 650 toBlackberry Curve 8310. Of 20,157 records 20,094 were reportedly migrated. Treo stuck and I had to abort and data got duplicated on the Treo, NO data was migrated. No contacts or memos!

I just purchased the Blackberry Curve 8310 and I have a Palm tungsten T3. Is there any way I can get my Palm data onto my Blackberry?

Here’s a fix for the gray out problem – as stated above, you must have 4.1 as opposed to 4.2 (I think there are a few others that work as well – 4.1.4). Completely uninstall 4.2 – even to the point of downloading a Microsoft Cleanup Utility to erase all remnants of it if need be. Then get 4.1 from the Palm website or if you have a CD version of the Treo 650 software or can get your hands on it, this will work too. That’s what I did.

My continued problem is this – After solving the gray out problem, I’m still getting what “Frustrated” is getting – Can only get to a certain point in my calendar records and thenn the BB Desktop Migration locks up and I end up having to shut down both the BB software and the Palm software. What is the deal here?

I cannot find a solution to this online….any help at all?

I have all my data on a Palm Desktop 6.2, Vista OS and have the Grey out problem mentioned above on Blackberry Desktop 4.6. Is there a way to get my calendar and contact on the Blackberry? Thanks.

Hi Mary! It totally did not work. The new Blackberry Desktop is 5.0.1 and the options are not the same. I still have the gray out problem! Thanks so much for trying to help!
