Here's a fix for the gray out problem - as stated above, you must have 4.1 as opposed to 4.2 (I think there are a few others that work as well - 4.1.4). Completely uninstall 4.2 - even to the point of downloading a Microsoft Cleanup Utility to erase all remnants of it if need be. Then get 4.1 from the Palm website or if you have a CD version of the Treo 650 software or can get your hands on it, this will work too. That's what I did.

My continued problem is this - After solving the gray out problem, I'm still getting what "Frustrated" is getting - Can only get to a certain point in my calendar records and thenn the BB Desktop Migration locks up and I end up having to shut down both the BB software and the Palm software. What is the deal here?

I cannot find a solution to this online....any help at all?

I just used Desktop Manager 4.6 to move all the information from a Zire72 to my BB. ACTUALLY the software never touches the Palm device but the Palm Desktop information. Also it is a good idea to have an updated version of the info in the hosting PC before to start this. A little bit of housekeeping like deleting/archiving completed tasks, old events and unnecessary notes or contacts will help. By the way, it is critical to have updated contact details in the Palm Desktop because they overwrite your BB details. You have the choice to avoid this during data transfer but no other record will be transferred so it is of little usefulness.
