Today we will be examining the phone feature of the new 8700. The 8700 is the first full QWERTY Blackberry that contains a dedicated send and end call buttons. Prior to the 8700, the 7100 were the only devices that had dedicated call buttons. One other small change we’ve seen is with the conference calling, with prior phones you needed to put the first call on ‘Hold’ then place a call, now you can just place a call and the person will automatically put on hold. A feature still lacking is voice dailing, which is like a 5 year old technology but for some reason RIM thinks that people don’t need it.
