Some that have switched from a full QWERTY keyboard to a SureType enabled Blackberry have a hard time adjusting in the beginning but then get comfortable after some time. There’s a reason for that, SureType is suppose to ‘learn’ your habits over time and the words suggestions become better. One reason is that the OS will automatically add words to a custom wordlist. However there are certain times where you will need to add or edit a word yourself because SureType gets it wrong.
To add a word to your custom wordlist
1. From the Home screen on the device, go to Options.
2. In the Options list, select Custom Wordlist.
3. Click the trackwheel and select New.
4. Type your custom word.
5. Click the trackwheel and select Save.
