I just recently purchased the new 8700 and have about 2 weeks left to return it with no penalty. Although I am seriously contemplating that, it appears that any injunction will only halt blackberry sales, not service. And the legal wranglings have the potential of lasting for years to come…..

this just sucks. i hate ntp and i hate the thought of them actually getting what they want.

i really hope rim decides to deploy their workaround instead of shutting down or paying. giving in and paying would be a huge mistake in my opinion.

Assume things get cut off, does anyone know, or has anyone heard how the carriers will react in the US? Verizon charges me $40 a month for the data plan I’m on, if I can’t use my BB, will they allow us to buy new devices without the full price penalty?
