I too am trying to copy ALL of my contacts onto the SIM, not one at a time. I have had the phone for a few years so there are hundredss!!!! There is NOTHING in the contacts list that indicates whether the entry is on, or not on the SIM card - therefore you have to enter each individual entry when you are in the SIM Card Contacts!!!!!!
Other phones (Nokia and more) HAVE this functionality
This has made up my mind - goodbye Blackberry!!!!!!!!!

Its very likely that this function exists, but is hidden. Most truly useful Blackberry functions, such as deleting an address book from your contacts, use secret codes. I can only guess RIM's corporate control freak mentality is the cause of this unnecessary frustration. Its definitely hurting their business.

No there's no way to copy your BB contacts to your SIM DIRECTLY. That being said, it is possible to use the synchronization option to export all your contacts to a text file(CSV). Once you have your contacts in clear text then you should be able to use another phone vendor's application to import these into a phone that does allow you to copy contacts to a SIM. Now if only there's an application out there that allows you to directly work with SIM cards through a PC adapter of some kind...Come on ppl I'm practically throwing this $$$ making idea out there!!
