ShowMate for Blackberry
Impatica Inc., an industry leader in the delivery and viewing of PowerPoint presentations over the Internet and wireless networks, today announced that it has commenced customer shipments of Impatica ShowMate — the first and only solution to allow users to project PowerPoint presentations directly from their BlackBerry devices.

“Market response for ShowMate has been nothing short of electric,” said Michael Doyle, Chairman and CEO of Impatica Inc. “We’re shipping orders as fast as they come off the assembly line to major customers like Lockheed Martin, US Social Security, Eaton Vance Corporation, Carlson Marketing, Alcatel, Legg Mason and The Schumacher Group.”

BlackBerry, developed by Research In Motion is a robust wireless platform with proven productivity benefits. ShowMate complements BlackBerry with added productivity and convenience by allowing users to deliver presentations on the road without the need to carry their laptop. Impatica ShowMate is the first device of its kind to allow BlackBerry users to project PowerPoint presentations directly from their handhelds, without the need for a laptop computer. A pocket-sized device that weighs less than three ounces, ShowMate supports full-featured PowerPoint presentations including rich text, images, charts, graphs, animations and slide transition effects.

“At the largest marketing services firm in North America, we need to stay abreast of the latest productivity tools for mobile professionals,” said Kamel Amoura, Senior IT Manager at Carlson Marketing. “As soon as we saw the Impatica ShowMate, we recognized it was a valuable accessory for the BlackBerry and immediately placed an order.”

To utilize ShowMate, PowerPoint presentations can be transferred to a BlackBerry device directly from the user’s desktop computer, via Impatica software; downloaded from a web site; or received over-the-air as an e-mail attachment. Once on location and ready to present, they simply connect the ShowMate to their BlackBerry devices and to the projector or large screen display and start the presentation.*

“We are pleased to work with Impatica to provide BlackBerry users with additional productivity and flexibility on the road,” said Jeff McDowell, Director, Alliances at Research In Motion. “The ability to project PowerPoint presentations from a BlackBerry device adds another degree of utility that will be valued by sales reps and a wide variety of other mobile professionals.”

Impatica’s ShowMate is available from distributors and strategic partners around the world and from Impatica directly at www.impatica.com.
