Microsoft chairman, Bill Gates, offered up his vision for the future last week, at the company’s Government Leaders Forum.
Gates told about 300 political, business, and academic leaders from Canada, the US, and Latin America, that cell phones would evolve into fully functional digital wallets, with the ability to make payments, receive email, and even scan business cards. He also predicted that increased industry convergence, and the digitalization of television will eventually cause computers and TVs to merge into a single device.
Microsoft also wants to “redefine the way that citizens think about how they work with government and how efficient communication takes place,â€.
