This Weekend Contest is entitled ‘How Many Blackberrys?’, meaning how many Blackberrys have you gone through. Maybe it’s just us, but everytime RIM comes out with a new generation of Blackberry device we rush right to our local wireless store to pick it up. It happened with the 7230, the first color Blackberry, then the 7100 with the sharp screen and SureType technology, and obviously had to get our hands on the 8700 when it first came out.

So we’re asking, are there anyone else out there with an addiction to the latest Blackberry. Post your comments and you can win the Vaja Blackberry 8700 case that we recently reviewed.

For more information about Vaja cases, visit their website at http://www.vajacases.com

More than you could imagine. The other half says I have a major addiction and should be referred to the men in white coats!

My collection comprises of multiple devices of most of same model, stacks and stacks of Nokia’s, S/E, most of the new and innovative devices that I have to get my hands on.

But… with the BlackBerry, its definitely more like a CrackBerry to me. Most days I carry more than 3 devices (2x 8700′s, 1x 7100), all on different networks just in case I cannot get connectivity on one.

(pics to follow, they will make you chuckle)

I have a warhorse of a 6750. Before that, I had an 850. So let’s say I’m on the slow end of the adoption curve.

I’m the same, pretty much have kept on upgrading since the 58xx days. But I would have to say the biggest improvement came from 5xxx –> 6xxx and then 7xxx –> 8xxx.

My first one was a 950, and my current one is an 8700g. Between those 2, I’ve had (in order) a 5810, 6710, 6210, 6280, 7210, 7730, 7100, and a 7290. I’ve never really had one that wasn’t for the GSM/GPRS network. I still have most of these in a drawer in my office, except for one that was stolen and a couple I gave away.

    Addiction? Maybe…

I’ve used same 7290, corporate-owned, for about 2 yrs. It has withstood impact, dropped on concrete steps, as if it was made of . It has served me well

While I am sure that I can not compete with others on the quantity of Blackberry devices used, I am sure that I am off to a good start. I currently have three Blackberry devices and my wife has one too!

It all started in April of 2005 when I bought myself a 7290 as a birthday gift. I really enjoyed using it and upgraded the OS from 3.8 to 4.0 to 4.1!

I then bought my wife a 7100g. It too was upgraded from OS 4.0 to 4.1.

Last month, I bought myself the 8700 device for a birthday gift. I have also updated the OS on that too.

I traded the 7290 with a friend in exchange for a 7100t. I have upgraded it to OS 4.1 and converted the housing to the 7100x!

I have recently acquired a 7100i through my company. I am enjoying using it also.

My kids are getting hooked too. My 7 year old son carries his 7230 dummy phone in his holster everywhere. He sports it with his (no longer functional) Motorola HS850 headset. My daughter has a 7100g dummy phone and she is not quite 3 yet.

I am already making plans for the NEXTEL 87xx model when it comes out!

So, I do not have the most, I am off to a fast start in a one year period!

I have only had 2 Blackberrys. Got my first one last year, went from a SK2 to a 7100t as I wanted more ability to personalize my device. I moved up to the 8700 as soon as it came out for Tmobile, and gave my hubby my 7100t. Apparently I am spreading BB madness… who will be next?

I had a 7230 with T-Mobile for about a week, and the service sucked so much (slow and limited working coverage) that I cancelled it. I got that one because it was so cheap, and nothing else was compareable price-wise, so I went a while without a Blackberry. Then I decided to go in and just buy a 7250 with Verizon, and love it.

    5810
    6710

got the 7100t in mar. ’05, upgraded to the 7105t in nov. ’05 (better keyboard, adjustible lighting for screen, scratch proof screen, etc.), and moved on to the 8700g late april mostly due to the still better keyboard. not regretting the upgrade at all.

i use my BB for my small businesses with BIS (have 3 e-mail accounts sent to the BB) and the BB is a must have for a one person / small biz like myself.

    One 7250
Three 7520′s (broke display on first, soaked second)
    One 7130e
    One 7100i

I wish there was a way to transfer PINs from one device to another because everyone I know is sick of updating their addy book everytime I break a Berry.
