Live from WES: Waiting For Keynote Speeches

WES Keynote Speech
We didn’t have much time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast from RIM because people were quickly piling up into the conference room waiting for the keynote speeches. And of course we wanted to be near the front to get the best pictures incase RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis were to reveal any new devices.

RIM is estimating 3,000 people to attend the keynote speeches, so enjoy these pictures before we go in real-time blogging mode.

Forrester kicked off the keynote with a prediction of where we are heading with the future of technology. Ubiquitous Computing! No shock there, but it was interesting to hear terms such as “hockey stick adoption curve” and many more terms that left me reaching for a theasaurus. What was even more interesting was to see the Forrester speaker after the keynote running for a payphone….. go figure.

Mike Lazaridis stated that peer to peer networks are likely to over optimise the networks if we don’t manage the adoption, I disagree with that statement and will be pulling him up on this later today.
