<description>[...] The funny thing about parties is that you never know what’s going to happen. Case in point: one of our loyal BlackBerry Cool readers just so happened to be at one of those Rogers launch events for the BlackBerry 7130g we told you about awhile back. Turns out Loyal Reader X (he requested anonymity and mysteriousness) also just happened to win a 7130g and set about doing what any normal tech-head would do: taking a bunch of pictures and writing some impressions. <description>[...] It wasn&#8217;t the announcement we were expecting today, but who knows, the day is still young. Regardless, the headline pretty much says it all for this post: RIM is offering the BlackBerry 8707v through Vodafone Spain, making our Spanish friends second only to our German friends in luck. Of course, the big improvement of the 8707 over the 8700 BlackBerry is 3G UMTS network support. “We have an excellent relationship with RIM and we are pleased to offer the BlackBerry 8707v with UMTS support to our customers for the first time in Spain. In addition to enjoying the various BlackBerry applications on the UMTS network, our customers can also use the device as a modem to access the Internet through their PC, giving them the added benefit of broader connectivity when they are on the move,” commented Antonio Alemán, Director, Enterprise Business Unit, Vodafone Spain.
