LOL are you kidding me, you’re linking from a dude’s LiveJournal blog? There’s so many issues with his reasoning that I don’t even want to bother … actually let me do just one:

6) Blackberry had to swallow their pride and release a Blackberry client for the Treo

Yes swallow their pride and release a Blackberry client for the Treo, I guess the same can be said when RIM did it for Nokia, Siemens, Sony, etc. I guess they are admitting defeat and it’s time to unload on RIMM and trade in our Blackberrys for Palms. Hell may aswell close down BBCool because Palm is going to rule the world like it was 1999 again.

Does this dimwit realize that RIM not only will make money licensing the Blackberry technology to 3rd party manufactuers but also make money by companies buying their BES software. Not to mention, the more people using Blackberry Push technology the better for RIM in so many ways; higher profit margins in licensing and software sales, blackberry technology becoming defacto standard, not competing on hardware, enterprises tend to keep same software offering unlike hardware.

If you look at his previous entries they are all just hyping up Palm, this guy has zero credibility.
