Remember that BlackBerry Media Player we told you about during WES 2006? Well, Sona Mobile has now started an open beta of their Sona MediaPlayer so all of you fine readers out there can try it as well. Those of you who are interested and have either a BlackBerry 7130e or an 8700 BlackBerry can go here to sign up.

    I’m not that impressed. I have sprint’s 7130e on EVDO and still had to wait 2 mins for the download of the sports file.. only to be greeted with a smaller than screen size video that was very grainy. they need to stream in full screen and get rid of the grain. The space the file must have taken up on my phone probably wasn’t so great either.
