The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) released its annual broadcast monitoring report Friday. What’s interesting is that this year, they’ve included handset-related information along with their breakdown of the tv and radio habits of Canadians.
According to the study, 3% of Canadians use BlackBerrys, compared to the 7% who use PDAs and 59% who use cellphones. Of those who own a cellphone, BlackBerry or PDA, 7% use it to get news or weather information and four per cent use it to get sports scores.
While these numbers sound low, we can’t be sure as the CRTC report doesn’t offer any comparative data from other countries. Do any helpful BlackBerry Cool readers out there know about similar stats for their home country?
