BlackBerry Competitor Update

Sharp WS007SH

Seems like every day we get news of another “BlackBerry Killer” on the horizon. Rarely, however, do we see a device that looks so slick. With the W-ZERO3(es)/WSOO7SH, it doesn’t seem like Japanese manufacturer Sharp is too concerned that the BlackBerry is coming to their native soil. Engadget is reporting that this Windows Mobile 5.0 handset features both a phone keypad and a separate sliding QWERTY keypad, 2.8 inch VGA screen, 128MB flash (60MB allocated to the user) and 64MB of SDRAM, miniSD expansion slot, USB support, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Kind of makes you wish that this is the Stealth, doesn’t it?

While we’re talking “BlackBerry Killers,” we’ve just learned that Samsung’s SGH-i320 that we told you about while back is slated to come to Europe some time this month. We’ve also discovered that the device will sadly have no UMTS or WiFi support.

We’ll keep you up to date on both devices as we learn more.
