And you thought we weren’t going to have a Weekend Contest two weeks running. Not even a total server meltdown can stop us from providing quality contests and prizes to our loyal readers — but it will inform our contest question. You told us earlier this week how much you need your BlackBerry; now we want you to tell us what you do when your BlackBerry goes down. What do you do when you can’t pick up a network connection, receive a dreaded JVM error or have BIS 2.0 delete all your emails?

Those who post the best comment will win a free copy of newly updated Ascendo Fitness. LAST WEEK’S WINNER was Daniel, who not only shouted out Air Supply but recognized that, although he is addicted to his BlackBerry, he can never go back to just a cell phone.

I was without my baby…I mean Blackberry for a week due to my SIM card going belly up. I ended up forwarding all my email to an email account I could check via the crappy web browser on my personnel cell phone. I hope I never have to do that again.

Hahahaha! It’s funny that you should ask me such a perfect question! Hahaha! The reason I’m laughing is because I’m a Crackberry addict! My friends actually have nicknamed me “The Mad Scientist!” because I am constantly experimenting with my Blueberry. I actually invented a new theme . . . I know how to crash a blackberry on purpose and restore it with the theme of the original Blackberry! ?? Yeah, like I said, they call me “The Mad Scientist!” Anyway, when my Blueberry goes down I cancel all appointments and spend the day getting it back online. Not once, but twice I have spent 8 hours of my day in front of a computer repairing my little blue friend from the damage that I caused, hahahaha. So what do I do when my Blueberry goes down? . . . Same thing I normally spend my day doing . . . . I play with my BLACKBERRY!!!

Damn – All their numbers were in my Blackberry, I can’t get to the local movie page site, and Google Maps is just dead air. At least I can read a book in the glow of the screen …

Do what any blackberry freak does…hop on HoFo or Pinstack, figure out the problem, fix it, and have last week’s backup loaded within hours. Downtime is not something I can tolerate.
And if it’s a service provider issue….God help them cause I’ll be blowing up the customer service line, demanding a Level 3 Blackberry tech immediately!

I work with numerous attorneys, I would beg one of them for one of their older models just so I could use it until I could get mine up and running. I was without mine for just 8 hours and had the shakes.
