Alltel Wireless has announced that enterprise BlackBerry users can now store emergency plans on their BlackBerry and access those plans during times of crisis, thanks to Alltel’s partnership with Wallace Wireless.
Specifically created for BlackBerry users, The Wallace Incident Communicator software allows business and public safety officials to update emergency response plans, create forms and check lists, view images, monitor camera feeds, locate personnel and retain legally mandated records.
“Businesses and governments are increasingly conscious of the need to keep disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans in the hands of key decision-makers at all times,” said Elisabeth Owen, president of wireless business solutions for Alltel. “Storing that data on BlackBerry devices empowers decision-makers to respond quickly and effectively during a crisis.”
