We know a lot of our loyal BlackBerry Cool readers commute, usually in a car. We also know that this doesn’t stop you guys and gals from using your BlackBerrys. IMS has developed a new Bluetooth device that allows you to maintain BlackBerry functionality hands free, so you’re not endangering yourself or others on the road.
Called iLane, the device allows you to receive phone calls, text messages and emails hands free. iLane automatically will let users know when they’ve received an email, and reads out a brief summary of it — the driver can then listen to the whole message, forward it, or compose one in response.
No pricing is available yet, but iLane should be available for Treo and BlackBerry users in 2007. Go here for more info.
