I promise, no 'anti-tech, hippie talk" here. /But please do read the review of my book by James Glave before you make up your mind... The point is really that we produce hundreds of millions of electronic devices --the third billionth cell phone will roll of the assembly line next year-- and so we have to be careful about how we dispose of them because they're full of poisons. This goes for Blackberries too. Incidentally, I hear next year's model will rely on voice commands so that you can multi-task as you drive to and from work. It sounds like Partial Attention Syndrome to me but, I suppose, it's safer than reading and messaging in traffic.
