Telus shows strong Q2 results

Motorola QCanadian carrier Telus is reporting a six per cent increase in second quarter revenues to $2.1 billion from a year ago due to continued strong wireless performance and good high-speed Internet and wireless subscriber growth. Earnings per share (EPS) for the second quarter were $1.03, compared to 53 cents for the same period a year ago.

Telus also launched eight exclusive wireless devices during the quarter, the most notable to BlackBerry Cool reader being the Motorola Q and the BlackBerry 7100i. Both devices are available in Canada only through Telus.
