BlackBerry 7130g launches in Singapore

Although we haven’t seen an official press release from RIM yet, TechPlanet Asia is reporting that operators SingTel and StarHub have launched the BlackBerry 7130g in Singapore. While we’re sure our friends in Singapore will enjoy the 7130’s XScale processor and 64MB of RAM, word on the street is that they can’t take advantage of the BlackBerry’s EDGE network support. Shame.

Said Norm Lo, vice president of RIM in Asia Pacific: “In addition to our well-known enterprise offerings, we’re extending our reach to the high-end consumer crowd. After all, this group also tends to be enterprise users.”

Full hardware details on the BlackBerry 7130g can be found here.
