T-Mobile posts financials, has 800,000 BlackBerry customers

T-MobileWireless carrier T-Mobile recently released their Q2 2006 fiscal results, and there wasn’t much released that calls for a marching band and champagne. T-Mobile’s net income decreased to $233 million from $387 million in the same period a year ago, while adding 613,000 net new customers during the second quarter, which was down from the previous quarter, as well as year over year.

However, 51,000 of those new customers were BlackBerry customers, bringing T-Mobile’s total to an impressive 800,000 BlackBerry users. Surely next month’s release of the Pearl will only increase T-Mobile’s solid BlackBerry presence.
