Marriott testing Smartphone check-in

Comments

Marriott HotelUnlike a certain Chicago hotel we know of, it seems that hotel chain Marriott is looking to encourage the nigh-unstoppable mobile movement. Marriott is testing a service in one of their Redmond, Washington locations that allows for enterprising road warriors to check-in with their smartphone.

Sounds like a nifty little service for those tired of dealing with catatonic hotel staff after a long red-eye. Any catches? Two. You have to install software on your device and (surprisingly) only Windows Mobile devices are supported. Because only 75% of the people who’d want to use this service are BlackBerry users, right?
