Treo 650 gets BlackBerry Connect in Australia

It’s been so long that we’ve had one of these boring press releases from RIM that I almost feel nostalgic for them. Almost. RIM and Vodafone jointly announced today BlackBerry Connect support for Palm’s Treo 650 in Australia. BlackBerry Connect will provide our Aussie friends with “push” based email, BIS and limited BES support, such as email reconciliation and calendar synchronization.

Norm Lo, vice president for Asia Pacific at RIM, said, “Companies around the world are embracing the security, efficiency and robust management capabilities supported by BlackBerry and enjoying the many personal productivity and organizational workflow benefits enabled by BlackBerry wireless email.

No real news here other than the fact that BlackBerry Connect quietly continues to gain new devices and carriers in its march towards total domination.
