I have a 07 335i. BB 8830 Verizon. Everything works but voice command to "save name" is not recognized by car. Is this a phone compatibility issue or an issue with the system in the car?

I have a new Z4 as well. BB works great. My Name/Address book on blackberry is very large (>500 entries), so syncing all of the entries is worthless to me

What I did is change options on blackberry bluetooth settings under "Address Book Transfer" to hotlist only.

Then what happens is whatever is listed in your phone program on blackberry is what syncs with BMW when car starts. I personally only view most frequently called #'s in my phone program on blackberry...about 10-15 numbers...perfect for using the steering wheel and scrolling down for dialing.

Ah, the 850. I still think that was the best device they ever made. That thing was the perfect size.

I have a new Z4 and my 8700g (T-Mobile) works fine. Scanning through the phone book is naturally easier on the BB device itself (as opposed to via the steering wheel or stereo), but answering/making calls is virtually flawless as appears to be the sound quality. The only annoyance is the disruption of good music whilst the phone rings. :-)
