[...] Thanks to Ned, we’re able to get our first look at a Cingular ad pushing the Pearl (not to say they haven’t existed, it’s just the first we’ve seen). Is that a price we see? And hey, they’re sneaking in at a lower price than T-Mobile’s Pearl - not a bad move. It’s great that more information is becoming available, but yes, still waiting on official word from Cingular. So what now? Check out the pricing details after the jump. [...]

[...] Nearly one-week after the fact and we’re still talking about it? Sorry, folks, but we’re sure you’re alright with it. An in-depth report from the New York Times says what the majority of both industry outsider and insiders have been mumbling about for a few months now: the Pearl is a huge step in the right direction. The report shows that the Pearl will be heavily distributed by the majority of mobile carriers. “Initially the Pearl is being offered only by T-Mobile in the United States. But it is expected that most, if not all, of the 300 or so carriers that now offer BlackBerrys will add the new unit to their lineups. Mr. Hyers said that while rival devices, like the Palm Treo, had received positive reviews, their e-mail services, offered by companies such as Good Technologies, had not reached the BlackBerry’s level.” [...]

FYI...you can get this phone from them without the headeache of a 2-year contract for $250 (after rebates). If they tell you they don't have that deal, it's horse-chit. Call customer service at T-mobile and tell them that the sales rep told you they didn't.

Just picked up this amazing gagdget today. This phone is hands down the best phone I've ever owned. This includes comparison to the Q and treo. Smaller than both, more user friendly, more aesthetically pleasing, and on tops of that it's got BB's push system. Well done, RIM.

Once people realize that Sure-type isn't the archaic system that are on the 10-key nokia's and motorola's, this phone will really start to catch on to the broader business market.
