BlackBerry Indigo

Well look at this, the BlackBerry Indigo (aka the BlackBerry 8800)? These images were posted on BlackBerryForums.com from a new member from Europe. Do they know something we don’t?

This is the full QWERTY sister to the Pearl, minus the camera. Might be worth the wait if you aren’t in love with predictive text.

More to come, I’m sure.

I wish they included a camera on this. I love the Pearl, but hate the keyboard.

According to the dude from Europe who posted these images:

the first one [of the images posted] is the 8800 called indigo. Santa Claus will bring it to Europe maybe in December.

BUT: The other two devices [in other images posted on blackberryforums] will come late in Q2 2007 and they are called crimson. One is T-Mobile, the other is vodafone.

Have fun with it! I’ve read the technical spez.. It’ll be a cool device!
Together with BES 5.0 it’ll be an fantastic combination. Forget Windows mobile, repligo, GPS-Pucks, Extra Navigation Software etc.. I think, 2007 becomes a fantastic BlackBerry-Year.

The new 8800 looks amazing, but I am totally remissed as to why RIM refuses to add on a digital camera feature. I have an 8700g and I love it, but I really could benefit from the camera function. So, I am disappointed about that. other than that, it looks very hi-tech, very modern.

RIM doesn’t make sense. Why dont they release TWO 8800′s–one with a camera and one without?

The indigo will be the non camera version in mid to late december. The Crimson will be a camera version in mid to late ’07. Hope this clears things up. I personally am thrilled that a camera-less version will be available. I’ve been limited by not being allowed to carry a camera to where I work.
