Looks like Engadget’s got a case of the Monday’s (I’ll stop using this phrase on Mondays in a few weeks, promise – tune in!). With all of the hubbub about bugs and such, physical nitpicks about the Pearl have taken a bit of a backseat. Engadget has (literally) attacked the Pearl’s keyboard, peeling away those “mushy” keys. What did they find?
“…they’re just keys glued to a thin, flexible rubber film beneath.”
What were you expecting? Unicorns and sunshine? But yes, this could go back to our weekend contest. Was the Pearl rushed out the door because of growing hype? Could the hype that made us excited about the Pearl be the same thing that takes it down? As always, we’ll keep an eye on our watches and wait.

you know what’s weird, is that I have a RIM prototype Pearl and they were originally made with unicorns and sunshine. i guess they decided not to ship them like that.
Thanks for the laugh.
