BlackBerry 8703e now available on Sprint

Comments

We told you about it over a week ago, thought we’d just remind you. The EVDO’ing (can we make it a verb?) BlackBerry 8703e is now available through Sprint/Nextel. This lovely little device is GPS-enabled (unlike it’s Verizon counterpart) and can be yours for the low-low price of only $349 after Sprint’s “Instant Savings”. GPS-enabled, eh? So you could use awesome app.’s like Chronicle Road? Yeah you can!

I’ve seen this “GPS-enabled” feature bandied about. Can anyone confirm the actual details on this? Is it E911 only? Are GPS coordinates made available to software developers via the Java APIs?
